In the spirit of the studio as a space for making, testing and researching, the closing chapter of ‘Sketching Stories of Wounds and Wonder’ presents an open source writing pad. The pad functions as a collective working document used to conceptualise and prepare the ‘Stories of Wounds and Wonder Display Companion’, a display of materials related to the making of the book. The exhibition will take place at Framer Framed in Amsterdam from the 14th till the 25th of February.
For two weeks Framer Framed hosts a library of references, including textiles, drawings, animal figurines, texts and other resources that pertain to the universe of the book. Inspired by the multi-purpose libraries of Sekolah Pagesangan and Lakoat Kujawas, the display will welcome audiences to sit down, chat, snack, read, copy, and colour-in!
Growing and active until the opening of the display, the pad features notes, images and resources by Nuraini Juliastuti (writing in pink), designer Theetat Thunkijjanukij (writing in grey) and curator Sara Giannini (writing in light blue). (SSG)
