Dear Sara,

Perhaps an appropriate way to settle in well in a new social environment is through documenting the food that we eat or see everyday. I am currently doing a short residency in @lakoat.kujawas and here are the food and mediums which helped me to absorb new things, a tool of observation. 1) rice bowl with satay, sauteed papaya flowers, veggie soup with macaronis, croquet, spring rolls, pickles (a celebration food for a community member Yonathan Oematan 88 years young anniversary), 2) sago and 🧀 balls, sweet crackers with shredded canary coating (from Dicky’s trip to Ambon and Kei), 3) good home cooked meals: satay, sauteed papaya flowers, noodles, 4) sauteed 🍌 flowers and Sambal Lu’at, 5) kue cucur and sweet, 6) ☕ with ginger taste and sweet 🍠 balls with palm 🌴 fillings, 7) savoury biscuits, 8) buras aka 🌾 cooked in banana wraps, 9) 🍿 to fuel the discussion about food and life at Mama Fun and Bapa Fun's house.
