Compiled of costume designs by Victoria Lillich and designed by Luna Ananda/IWATTYILY, this quick visual insight into the imaginative worlds of ballet is paired with the opening text of spit + scotch tape. Victoria Lillich’s designs range from 2000-2013 when Rebecca was growing up, often dancing in the productions while helping her mother with the costumes. Many of the costumes have been lost or sold, a large portion of them burned in a fire at Syracuse Ballet. Here, the illustrations speak to themselves, asking the existential questions about practicing dance that Rebecca asks herself, a reflection of her childhood.
